Hon. Motuntayo Gbadebo – Alogba, Executive Chairman, Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), has welcomed pupils and students in Ijede, back to school for the second term of the 2025/26 academic session, after a long holiday.
Schools across Lagos State, resumed on Monday, January 12, 2026.
In a statement by the chairman, she reiterated her administration’s commitment to providing good learning conditions and support for pupils, while also emphasising the importance of education.

”As the second term of the 2025/2026 academic session begins, I warmly welcome all our pupils back to their classrooms, knowing that education is the foundation for building a brighter future for every child in our community.
”As a mother, I encourage all pupils to remain disciplined, focused, and resilient. Cultivate a positive mindset, believe in yourselves, and always strive for excellence in your academic pursuits.
”As a government, we reaffirm our commitment to the continuous upgrade of school infrastructure, the provision of essential learning materials, and the promotion of a safe and conducive learning environment. I sincerely commend our dedicated teachers for their tireless service, and urge parents and guardians to remain actively involved in supporting their children’s educational journey.
